How We Use Your Donation

The Appomattox Community & Disaster Relief organization is a 100% volunteer non-profit civic benefit organization, registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your donations to us are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution. Our Federal EIN is 87-2805277.

When we say that we are 100% volunteer, we mean it – every person that helps run our organization, from the board of directors, to the officers, to the community support personnel on the ground, are 100% volunteer. By being 100% volunteer we don’t have big corporate executives being paid from our collected funds, allowing us to deliver 100% of the funds we raise right back into our mission of supporting the Appomattox community.

Your donation will help community members of Appomattox through direct support to those in need in the form of such things as emergency food and shelter, clothing and toy drives, the purchase of equipment and supplies to support our local agency partners, and more.
